NOTE: I am sure that this same view, now, because of our Second Amendment, also ‘troubles’ all those ‘progressives’, (democrats) who would like the United Nations (ATT) Arms Trade Treaty to be passed, not only to disarm us, but to strip away our national sovereignty, and to turn us from being citizens into easily controllable ‘subjects’ to push around, good luck. Hi Mark, I thought you might like to read this about disarming the people. “Such laws make things worse for the assaulted and better for the assailants they serve rather to encourage than to prevent homicides for an unarmed man may be attacked with greater confidence than an armed man.” — Jeffersons Commonplace Book 1774-1776, quoting from On Crimes and Punishment by criminologist Cesare Beccaria 1764. George Mason of Virginia; “When the resolution of enslaving America was formed in Great Britain the British Parliament was advised by an artful man who was governor of Pennsylvania to disarm the people that it was the best and most effectual way to enslave them but that they should not do it openly but weaken them and let them sink gradually”. . “They (the militia) consist now of the whole people except a few public officers”. Thank you Colette, Jefferson was quoting the famous Itialian lawyer Cesare Beccaria as noted above, he well understood the results of disarming the public in the name of ‘safety’ as being a lie that only leads to government CONTROL over us sheep, if they are able to convince us.
Ben Franklin said if you give up liberty for temporary safety you deserve neither liberty or safety. MS
