Recently USA TODAY put out a disturbing article based on their investigation titled ‘Fugitives Next Door, a License to Commit Crimes’ This investigation brought up some pretty scary findings about the legal system and how it regularly drops the ball while dealing with violent criminals/felons, and how we become victims because of it.
Before I summerize the story let me just say this about USA TODAY, this paper has never been pro gun rights, and I do not believe they intended to be pro gun in this article. Even so, USA TODAY inadvertently makes a very compelling case for legal gun ownership/personal protection in this article.
The story is based on facts surrounding the ability of fugitives to go from state to state, with no one chasing them, to rape, kidnap, rob and murder again and again, with the knowledge that law enforcement is unwilling/unable to chase them.
Bullet Points from investigation:
*Tens of thousands of accused felons get away easily, because police and prosecutors across much of the U.S. will not pursue them beyond their state boarders.
*With no one in pursuit, wanted fugitives went on to rape, kidnap, rob banks, and murder, often as close as the state next door.
*One victim, Frederick Tucker was brutally murdered by 3 fugitives the police had allowed to go free previously, these three men were wanted in other states with a long list of serious crimes. You ask how can this happen? The next point explains.
*Many times, because prosecutors do not approve extridition if a criminal is found in another state, the fugitives name will not be entered into the FBI data base, because of this, another state where the fugitive commits a crime does not know he is wanted somewhere else!
*Officials in Penn. have chosen not to pursue more than 20,000 people once they cross the state boarder.
*There are over 186,873 felony suspects whom police nationwide say will not be pursued into other states.
*There is a history of violence committed by wanted felony suspects, often after police, not knowing they were wanted in another state, let them go!
*In Tennessee, police charged that a fugitive from Florida, fatally shot four people on a quiet country road after Florida prosecutors had turned down 4 chances to come get him due to other charges…………four people murdered needlessly.
*Felon Lemont Pride was set free in N.Y. because North Carolina would not come to get him for shooting a man in N.C. One month later Pride murdered a NYC police officer during a drug robbery………..”It becomes, to some degree a cost decision. We just cant bring everybody back”, said Howard Neumann, a district attorney in N.C.
*One in six homicide suspects arrested in D.C. were already wanted elsewhere!
These grim and startling statistics go on and on, with these findings, USA TODAY has done law abiding gun owners a service, I think we should cling to our guns and Bible a little tighter now. And at the same time tell anti-gun, anti-Second Amendment politicians to back off from their misguided attacks on law abiding citizens and start talking about crime control instead, or be booted from office!
In my opinion, gun owners who vote for any candidate(s) that are in favor of ’gun control’, amounts to the same thing as turkeys voting in favor of Thanksgiving………

Recently I picked up on an article from Boston.com. [In wake of Newtown massacre, Mass. ‘panel’ recommends that state gun laws be tightened]
Excerpt from this article:
“More than a year after the school shootings in Newtown, Conn., a panel of ‘academic experts’ today released a long-awaited report recommending that Massachusetts tighten its gun laws, which are already considered among the toughest in the country.”{The panel made 44 recommendations.}
These 44 recommendations were not listed in the article for the public to see……………Mark’s note.
This panel of so-called ‘academic experts’ who obviously are not elected to represent us and are not accountable to us, are going to dictate how our gun rights/freedoms should mirror those passed in Ct. recently. They like the draconian new ‘laws’, including ‘gun registration’ that the politicians in Connecticut recently just imposed/forced on the people of that state in typical kneejerk fashion due to the actions of one well documented mentally ill person.
In essence, Ct. politicians made felons of all legal gun owners who did not register their guns by 1-1-2014, over 300,000 thousand have refused to register their guns in Ct. making the politicians there VERY nervous about retaining their phony jobs in Nov. as well they should be, for forgetting their oath to office when they swore too uphold the Constitution.
Excerpt From these ‘experts’:
“Overall, Massachusetts continues to be a leader nationally in efforts to reduce gun violence. The committee believes that even more can be done,” the report said. “The committee recognizes that changes such as those proposed in this report may be challenging, but if adopted, provide a pathway to further reduce gun violence in the Commonwealth.”
Mark’s Translation: Replace “reduce gun violence” from the above statement and insert (‘remove more gun rights from legal gun owners’!)
This group of ‘intellectuals’ have NOT allowed any discussion from gun rights advocates in this so-called ‘process’. Why would these mental giants be afraid to allow legal gun owners a chance to discuss/participate? Simple, they have a set anti gun agenda, they do not want to ‘muddy’ the waters with real facts, that would only impede this anti gun agenda, an agenda that they wish to impose on us before the Ma. House of Representative’s in June. That’s not very far away folks.
Why do they have more of a voice than the constituents who actually elect those in the House?? Why indeed…….
Our freedoms are only as strong as the current generation is in protecting them, you need to protect your rights under the Constitution if you expect them to be there for your posterity, they were protected in the past for you to now enjoy. Term limits initiated at the voting booth, we have that power!
What you need/should do is call your Representative’s on Beacon Hill at 617-722-2000, or the link to a directory of representatives, if your not sure who represents you, (since no one seems too) is, https://malegislature.gov/people/house just copy and paste to discover who your rep may be.
Let them know that they can not hide behind a group of unaccountable left wing ‘academics’ who want nothing better than to take our freedoms, that we will remember in November if they do not stop this assault on our gun rights in the pretext of stopping crime! Please, take a moment from your day to contact them…..
A free and lawful citizenry should never have to conform to every act of the criminal/mentally ill element, as these so-called ‘academics‘ want, instead the criminal element had better conform to society as a whole or pay the price with hard jail time/death!

February 14, 2010 – Richmond, California – Three hooded men
walk into Gethsemane Church of God in Christ and opened
fire and then fled the scene, as the singing of the choir
was replaced by frightened screams. The two victims, a 14-
year-old boy and a 19-year-old man, were hospitalized.
March 8, 2009 – Maryville, Illinois – Suspect Terry Joe
Sedlacek, 27, of Troy, walks into the First Baptist Church,
and shoots pastor Fred Winters dead, point blank. Several
church members are injured by a knife in the struggle to
capture after the attack, The suspect also had stabbed
himself, but survived, when his gun jams.
July 27, 2008 – Knoxville, Tennessee – A gunman opens fire
in a church during a youth performance, killing two people
and injuring seven.
Dec. 9, 2007 – Colorado – Three people are killed and five
wounded in two shooting rampages, one at a missionary
school in suburban Denver and one at a church in Colorado
Springs. The gunman in the second incident is killed by a
guard.
May 20, 2007 – Moscow, Idaho – A standoff between police
and a suspect in the shootings of three people in a
Presbyterian Church ended with three dead, including one
police officer.
Aug. 12, 2007 – Neosho, Missouri – First Congregational
Church – 3 killed – Eiken Elam Saimon shot and killed the
pastor and two deacons and wounded five others.
May 21, 2006 – Baton Rouge, Louisiana – The Ministry of
Jesus Christ Church – 4 killed – The four at the church who
were shot were members of Erica Bell’s family; she was
abducted and murdered elsewhere; Bell’s mother, church
pastor Claudia Brown, was seriously wounded – Anthony Bell,
25, was the shooter.
Feb. 26, 2006 – Detroit, Michigan – Zion Hope Missionary
Baptist Church – 2 killed + shooter – Kevin L. Collins, who
reportedly went to the church looking for his girlfriend,
later killed himself.
April 9, 2005 – College Park, Georgia – A 27-year-old
airman died after being shot at a church, where he had once
worked as a security guard.
March 12, 2005 – Brookfield, Wisconsin – Living Church of
God – 7 killed + shooter – Terry Ratzmann opened fire on
the congregation, killing seven and wounding four before
taking his own life.
July 30, 2005 – College Park, Georgia – World Changers
Church International – shooter killed – Air Force Staff
Sgt. John Givens was shot five times by a police officer
after charging the officer, following violent behavior.
Dec. 17, 2004, Garden Grove, Calif.: A veteran musician at
the Crystal Cathedral shoots himself to death after a nine
-hour standoff.
Oct. 5, 2003 – Atlanta, Georgia – Turner Monumental AME
Church – 2 killed + shooter – Shelia Wilson walked into the
church while preparations are being made for service and
shot the pastor, her mother and then herself.
June 10, 2002 – Conception, Missouri – Benedictine
monastery – 2 killed + shooter – Lloyd Robert Jeffress shot
four monks in the monastery killing two and wounding two,
before killing himself.
March 12, 2002 – Lynbrook, New York – Our Lady of Peace
Catholic Church – 2 killed – Peter Troy, a former mental
patient, opens fire during Mass, killing the priest and a
parishioner. He later receives a life sentence.
May 18, 2001 – Hopkinsville, Kentucky – Greater Oak
Missionary Baptist Church – 2 killed – Frederick Radford
stood up in the middle of a revival service and began
shooting at his estranged wife, Nicole Radford, killing her
and a woman trying to help her.
Sept. 15, 1999 – Fort Worth, Texas – Wedgewood Baptist
Church – 7 killed + shooter – Larry Gene Ashbrook shot dead
seven people and injured a further seven at a concert by
Christian rock group Forty Days in Fort Worth, Texas before
killing himself.
April 15, 1999 – Salt Lake City, Utah – LDS Church Family
History Library – 2 killed + shooter – Sergei Babarin, 70,
with a history of mental illness, entered the library,
killed two people and wounded four others before he was
gunned down by police.
Summary: There are other/more examples of church shootings where we would ‘think’ we are safe.
The fact is that there is no such thing as gun free ‘safe’ zones or child safe neighborhoods for that matter, what does that mean? no one can abduct your children?!
Where there is a so-called ‘gun free zone’ there is the chance a deranged predator will use the fact that no one can defend themselves to his/her best advantage. Increasingly I have given my firearm safety class to groups from houses of worship including Pastors. There are people out there that do not honor the laws of man nor God. Self defense is your God given right, consider arming yourself. Unfortunately, in most cases the police come as the ‘clean-up crew’.

Subject: Columbine Student’s Father many years later. Guess our national ‘leaders’ didn’t expect this. On Thursday May 27th 1999, Darrell Scott, the father of Rachel Scott, a victim of the Columbine High School shootings in Littleton, Colorado, was invited to address the House Judiciary Committee’s subcommittee. What he said to our national ‘leaders’ during this special session of Congress was painfully truthful. They were not prepared for what he was to say, nor was it received well. It needs to be heard by every parent, every teacher, every politician, every sociologist, every psychologist, and every so-called expert! These courageous words spoken by Darrell Scott are powerful, penetrating, and deeply personal. There is no doubt that God sent this man as a voice crying in the wilderness.
The following is a portion of the transcript:
“Since the dawn of creation there has been both good & evil in the hearts of men and women. We all contain the seeds of kindness or the seeds of violence. The death of my wonderful daughter, Rachel Scott, and the deaths of that heroic teacher, and the other eleven children who died must not be in vain. Their blood cries out for answers.
“The first recorded act of violence was when Cain slew his brother Abel out in the field. The villain was not the club he used. Neither was it the NCA, the National Club Association. The true killer was Cain, and the reason for the murder could only be found in Cain’s heart.
“In the days that followed the Columbine tragedy, I was amazed at how quickly fingers began to be pointed at groups such as the NRA. I am not a member of the NRA. I am not a hunter. I do not even own a gun. I am not here to represent or defend the NRA – because I don’t believe that they are responsible for my daughter’s death. Therefore I do not believe that they need to be defended. If I believed they had anything to do with Rachel’s murder I would be their strongest opponent.
I am here today to declare that Columbine was not just a tragedy — it was a spiritual event that should be forcing us to look at where the real blame lies! Much of the blame lies here in this room! Much of the blame lies behind the pointing fingers of the accusers themselves. I wrote a poem just four nights ago that expresses my feelings best.
Your laws ignore our deepest needs, Your words are empty air. You’ve stripped away our heritage, You’ve outlawed simple prayer. Now gunshots fill our classrooms, And precious children die. You seek for answers everywhere, And ask the question “Why?” You regulate restrictive laws, Through legislative creed. And yet you fail to understand, That God is what we need!
“Men and women are three-part beings. We all consist of body, mind, and spirit. When we refuse to acknowledge a third part of our make-up, we create a void that allows evil, prejudice, and hatred to rush in and wreak havoc. Spiritual presences were present within our educational systems for most of our nation’s history. Many of our major colleges began as theological seminaries. This is a historical fact. What has happened to us as a nation? We have refused to honor God, and in so doing, we open the doors to hatred and violence. And when something as terrible as Columbine’s tragedy occurs –politicians immediately look for a scapegoat such as the NRA. They immediately seek to pass more restrictive laws that contribute to erode away our personal and private liberties. We do not need more restrictive laws.
Eric and Dylan would not have been stopped by metal detectors. No amount of gun laws can stop someone who spends months planning this type of massacre. The real villain lies within our own hearts.
“As my son Craig lay under that table in the school library and saw his two friends murdered before his very eyes, he did not hesitate to pray in school. I defy any law or politician to deny him that right! I challenge every young person in America , and around the world, to realize that on April 20, 1999, at Columbine High School prayer was brought back to our schools.
Do not let the many prayers offered by those students be in vain. Dare to move into the new millennium with a sacred disregard for legislation that violates your God-given right to communicate with Him. To those of you who would point your finger at the NRA — I give to you a sincere challenge. Dare to examine your own heart before casting the first stone! My daughter’s death will not be in vain! The young people of this country will not allow that to happen!” – Darrell Scott

Facts are nasty little things aren’t they? Here are some the media buried.
A 1997 High School shooting in Pearl Miss., was halted by the school principal after he retrieved the Colt .45 he kept in his truck.
A 1998 middle school shooting ended when a man living next door heard gunfire and apprehended the shooter with his shotgun.
A 2002 terrorist attack at an Israeli school was quickly stopped by an armed teacher and a school guard.
A 2002 law school shooting in Grundy, Va., came to an abrupt conclusion when students carrying firearms confronted the shooter.
A 2007 mall shooting in Ogden, Utah, ended when an armed off-duty police officer intervened.
A 2009 workplace shooting in Houston, Texas, was halted by two co-workers who carried concealed handguns.
A 2012 church shooting in Aurora, Colo., was stopped by a member of the congregation carrying a gun.
At a recent mall shooting in Portland, Ore., the gunman took his own life minutes after being confronted by a shopper carrying a concealed weapon.
Approxamately 2500 times last year alone legal gun owners stopped violent crime when confronted with it long before any police assistance.
Of course, you probably didn’t know any of this because the ‘mainstream’ media elite doesn’t find it worth reporting, they would rather exercise the First Amendment with lies by ‘omission’ instead. These stories are not sensational enough and doesn’t fit in with their agenda of disarming America.
What is really insane is people,(politicians) who think removing rights from responsible people will somehow keep us all safe!

Governor Patrick, and so-called ‘Rep’. David Linsky (D), among others have come up with a very ‘shady’ and reprehensible scheme to try to force gun registration on all legal gun owners in the ‘guise’ of ‘safety’. I have a bridge in Brooklyn for sale cheap if you believe that one. It worked (briefly….) for Hitler and Stalin along with many other dictators in the past and present, and now our very own dictator wanna-be politicians today want to give it a whirl!! Gooood luck!
Politicians who are in ‘bed’ with the insurance companies may try to force everyone, (under threat of course) to buy liability insurance for their guns in Ma. This has NOTHING to do with safety or preventing crime, (proper storage laws are already on the books, as are safety classes) and EVERYTHING to do with another creative way to start a (backdoor) gun registration scheme while making themselves rich with ‘kick-backs’ from the insurance lobby! How can you be ‘forced’ to buy the insurance if they don’t know what you own until you REGISTER your guns? Threats issued from your so-called self serving ‘Reps’ is the only way. Tell them to pound sand! Make SURE you threaten them with your vow to unseat these career leeches in the next election cycle! Why do you think that when you get a speeding ticket that you have to pay your auto insurance co. additional money in penalties for the next 7 years thereafter? You did no damage to the car that is insured, or to anyone else’s car or property did you? Every time someone gets a speeding ticket politicians in this state profit from it! They are in bed with the insurance companies. They will profit from this so-called ‘gun liability insurance’ scam also!
Lawful gun owners have absolutely NO obligation to comply with an unlawful dictate such as this. It is a direct violation of our Constitutional rights, trying to effectively price us out of our Second Amendment!! It discriminates against lower income Americans, of any color, who may live in crime ridden areas by making it imposable for them to ‘afford’ their Constitutional right to self defense, hell, $100 to apply for a gun license in this politically asinine state does that for many! The people we loosely call ‘representative’s’ who would go along with this get rich quick scheme for themselves should be tried for treason, and imprisoned in forsaking the oath they took when gaining public office. We all know the oath they took as a solemn vow to UPHOLD the entire Constitution! They were all eager to swear the oath, once in office they appear just as eager to forsake it in order to line their pockets with bribes from special interest groups.
Firearms are the only consumer product that is protected in our Constitution, politicians with an eye to totally controlling the masses hate the Second Amendment and will try any scheme/scam to circumvent it! The criminals will all line up for the insurance………..SURE!

OBAMACARE PROTECTS GUN RIGHTS–Senate amendment 3276, Sec. 2716, part c.
It seems that in their haste to cram socialized medicine down the throats of all the American people, then-Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) and Barack Obama overlooked Senate amendment 3276, Sec. 2716, part c. c) PROTECTION OF SECOND AMENDMENT GUN RIGHTS.– “(1) WELLNESS AND PREVENTION PROGRAMS.–
A wellness and health promotion activity implemented under subsection (a)(1)(D) may not require the disclosure or collection of any information relating to– “(A) the presence or storage of a lawfully-possessed firearm or ammunition in the residence or on the property of an individual; or “(B) the lawful use, possession, or storage of a firearm or ammunition by an individual.
“(2) LIMITATION ON DATA COLLECTION.–
None of the authorities provided to the Secretary under the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act or an amendment made by that Act shall be construed to authorize or may be used for the collection of any information relating to–
“(A) the lawful ownership or possession of a firearm or ammunition;
“(B) the lawful use of a firearm or ammunition; or
“(C) the lawful storage of a firearm or ammunition.
“(3) LIMITATION ON DATABASES OR DATA BANKS.–
None of the authorities provided to the Secretary under the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act or an amendment made by that Act shall be construed to authorize or may be used to maintain records of individual ownership or possession of a firearm or ammunition.
“(4) LIMITATION ON DETERMINATION OF PREMIUM RATES OR ELIGIBILITY FOR HEALTH INSURANCE.–A premium rate may not be increased, health insurance coverage may not be denied, and a discount, rebate, or reward offered for participation in a wellness program may not be reduced or withheld under [Page: S13491] GPO’s PDF any health benefit plan issued pursuant to or in accordance with the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act or an amendment made by that Act on the basis of, or on reliance upon–
“(A) the lawful ownership or possession of a firearm or ammunition; or “(B) the lawful use or storage of a firearm or ammunition. “(5)
LIMITATION ON DATA COLLECTION REQUIREMENTS FOR INDIVIDUALS.–
No individual shall be required to disclose any information under any data collection activity authorized under the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act or an amendment made by that Act relating to–
“(A) the lawful ownership or possession of a firearm or ammunition; or
“(B) the lawful use, possession, or storage of a firearm or ammunition.
”. (f) Section 2718 of the Public Health Service Act, as added by section 1001(5), is amended to read as follows:
On Jan. 1, many parts of the Obamacare legislation became active, including the tax requirements/burden on working middle class Americans to begin funding its later full implementation. This means that many parts of national health care are already being enforced, including the amendment on gun and ammunition registration.
This is comical, but not what really protects us from dictator wanna-be’s, for that we have the Constitution, a much hated ‘roadblock’ to these same wanna-be’s such as Finestine, Boxer, Schumer, Biden/Obama, Bloomberg, Pelosi and all their ilk at any level of government.
Since the Democrats no longer have control over the House of Representatives as they did in 2009 when the original bill was passed, repealing this amendment would be very difficult, as it would open up much of Obamacare to potential repeal just to remove this segment in the legislation.
When WE THE PEOPLE elect our Representative’s, upon the threshold of taking office and thus becoming our public property, they are all required to take/make a solemn oath to ‘Uphold and Defend’ OUR Constitution,(every part of it) from all enemies both foreign and domestic. It is when they forget this oath that they then become self serving ‘politicians’ and are no longer our Representatives, they have become instead a domestic enemy from within in my view. We then need to either vote them out, recall them, or imprison them as the traitors they have become by forsaking the oath they had once sworn to uphold, OUR Constitution!
America is ours, ‘Executive Orders’ do not ,will not superceed OUR Constitution at the whim of Obama, (or anyone else) that is not how it works. We do not serve our Representatives, they serve us!
